Year 3&4 Football Competition

On Tuesday 9th June a team of 12 boys from Year 3 and Year 4 went to Cheam Park Farm Jr for their Summer Football Competition. The boys had only had a handful of training sessions together but during the first game they looked as though they had been playing together for a long time. They worked fantastically as a team and attacked with real purpose. The game ended Abbey winning 2-0.

The team went on to win another two game and lost one 1-0 meaning that they finished with 9 points out of a possible 12, which is a brilliant achievement. It also meant that they finished in the top two of the group and we will be returning to Cheam Park Farm Jr on Friday 19th for the finals and whatever happens at the finals, I am very proud of how well they played already.
